Upstream Production
Producers of heavy crudes can take advantage of MSAR® technology directly by converting crude oil into a useable fuel for on and off-site use, or simply convert the oil into a low viscosity oil for transportation at ambient temperature to reduce pipeline and heating costs. The core process equipment and technology is the same, i.e. simple, low CAPEX, modular and compact.
As oil refining is carbon intensive, our technology provides the option of converting heavy oil directly to a low viscosity fuel ready for use or export as MSAR®, or bioMSAR™ by adding glycerine to reduce carbon footprints further.
